Kochi: Following the controversy surrounding her marriage, the viral “Kumbh Mela girl” approached the Kochi Police seeking protection. Her complaint came after Madhya Pradesh Police arrived in Kochi. In her petition, the girl requested that she not be taken back to Madhya Pradesh.
She informed the police that she is staying in Kerala of her own free will and that she has attained the age of 18. She also submitted documents to the police to verify her age. Amid reports that the girl may be a minor, the Madhya Pradesh Police registered a POCSO case against Farman Ahmed, the man who married the viral girl.
