Mumbai: Several Indian cricketers took to social media to wish Virat Kohli on his 38th birthday on November 5.
Kohli celebrates his 38th birthday a day after scoring 74 off 51 balls to help India chase down a target of 143 in the rain-affected first ODI against New Zealand in Auckland on November 4.
The birthday also marks the beginning of Kohli’s 19th year in international cricket. His career has been marked by numerous records, major achievements and memorable performances.
Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan was among those who wished Kohli. In a post on X, he praised Kohli’s passion, determination and dedication to the game and wished him a successful year ahead.
Fast bowler Mohammed Shami also shared his birthday wishes through an Instagram story.
Former India and Bengal batter Manoj Tiwary recalled his memorable partnership with Kohli against the West Indies. He wished Kohli continued success and urged him to keep inspiring future generations through his passion and commitment to cricket.
Kohli is widely regarded as one of the greatest run-chasers in cricket. His confidence and ability to deliver under pressure while pursuing big targets set him apart from his contemporaries. He has broken several world records, including some previously held by Sachin Tendulkar, and continues to move closer to becoming one of the greatest batters in the history of the game. His remarkable consistency over the years is a quality few players, including the leading batters of the current generation, have been able to match.
