The search for the 50 people missing in the Himachal Pradesh cloudburst is ongoing. The operation is focused on various areas. Official confirmation has been given for 13 fatalities so far. The estimated damage is around 700 crores.
Disaster relief forces have been deployed in the heavily affected districts of Shimla, Mandi, and Kullu. A yellow alert has been issued in the state due to the forecast of heavy rain. 200 roads have been closed. Besides Himachal, the states of Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, and Bengal are also experiencing severe rain-related damage.
