Uttar Pradesh: The highly anticipated consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is set to take place on January 22, 2024. The Ram Janmabhoomi Trust has extended invitations to approximately 7000 individuals, including 4000 seers and 3000 VVIPs for this historic occasion.

The inauguration ceremony is expected to attract a diverse array of attendees, ranging from politicians and the heads of the four main Hindu monasteries (Shankaracharyas) to  cricketers,  celebrities, and religious leaders.

Distinguished guests anticipated at the event include Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, industrialists Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, and Ratan Tata, as well as former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and current cricketer Virat Kohli.

The grand inauguration of the sacred temple in Ayodhya  is set to be graced by the presence of numerous prominent figures from Indian cinema, including Amitabh Bachchan,  Rajnikant,  Chiranjeevi,  Mohanlal,  Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Dhanush, Rishabh Shetty and Madhuri Dixit.

In reflection of the upcoming event, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed that the inauguration of the Ram Temple stands as a fitting response to those who have criticized the BJP.

However, the CPI(M) officially confirmed on Tuesday that it would not be attending the ceremony. The General Secretary of the party, Sitaram Yechury, criticized the ruling BJP for leveraging a religious ceremony for political gain by transforming it into a state-sponsored event.

In response to the CPI(M), Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi asserted that invitations to the inaugural ceremony had been sent to all, but only those called by Lord Ram would attend.
