Actress Saniya Iyappan has provided an explanation after a video of her, in which she was perceived to be treating a young man with disdain when he approached for a selfie, went viral on social media.
In her Instagram story, Saniya clarified that she had no intention of causing harm and extended apologies if her actions had upset anyone.
“Recently, a video of me showing disdain towards a person went viral on social media, and some people expressed their disapproval through comments. I, like anyone else, face various challenges in my personal life.
A few months ago, I had an unforgettable experience (possibly the incident at a mall in Kozhikode). Following that incident, I received limited support and faced opposition from many. Despite internalizing it all, the inner fear lingered with me.
Having undergone these personal challenges, I recognize that the impact of such situations varies for each individual. I want to emphasize to everyone that my intent is never to harm anyone. If I unintentionally did so, I sincerely apologize. Thank you for your understanding.” – Saniya Iyappan noted.
