Numerous public figures have responded to Mansoor Ali Khan’s recent interview comments, which were both sexist and offensive towards his Leo co-star, Trisha.
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who collaborated with Mansoor on Leo, expressed disappointment and anger upon hearing the misogynistic remark. Considering their shared work experience, Lokesh emphasized that respect for women, fellow artists, and professionals should be unwavering in any industry.
He unequivocally condemned such behavior, stressing that it should not be tolerated.
During a recent press conference, Mansoor made a disturbing comment, expressing his desire to include a ‘rape scene’ in the film Leo, similar to those seen in some older Tamil films.
Mansoor went on to lament that directors were not allowing him to include such scenes, explicitly mentioning his disappointment in not having a bedroom scene with Trisha, whom he knew he would be acting alongside. He also made an insensitive remark questioning if there were any types of rape scenes he hadn’t witnessed.
In response to the inappropriate remark, Trisha said she is glad that there were no scenes featuring both of them, despite their roles in Leo.
