Karthikeyan Murali, an accomplished Indian chess grandmaster, attained the prestigious title of Grandmaster from FIDE in 2015. Notably, Karthikeyan holds the distinction of being a two-time national champion.
In a significant feat, Karthikeyan’s recent triumph in the classical chess format at the ongoing Qatar Masters stands as only the third recorded instance where an Indian player has emerged victorious against the formidable Magnus Carlsen.
