The Lok Sabha proceedings on December 12, 2023, were temporarily halted until 12 noon following a protest by Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) member Danish Ali, who called for action against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ramesh Bidhuri over derogatory comments made against him.
At the commencement of the Winter Session’s first day, Speaker Om Birla initiated obituary references. During the Question Hour, Ali brought up his complaint against Ramesh Bidhuri for allegedly making offensive remarks during the previous session.
Ali expressed his concern by wearing a placard around his neck.
