Visakhapatnam: On the second day of the Visakhapatnam test, India successfully restricted England to 253 in the first innings, with Jasprit Bumrah emerging as the standout performer with a remarkable six-wicket haul. Bumrah’s skillful bowling sent Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes, Tom Hartley, and James Anderson back to the pavilion. Despite England being in a comfortable position at 114 for 2, Bumrah’s exceptional performance led to the entire team being dismissed for 253 in 55.5 overs.

Opening batsman Zak Crawley was the top scorer for England, contributing 76 runs from just 78 balls, including 11 fours and 2 sixes. Kuldeep Yadav played a crucial role by taking three wickets, including the breakthrough dismissal of Ben Duckett, while Axar Patel sent Zak Crawley back to the pavilion.

India commenced their second innings on Saturday, with first-innings hero Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Rohit Sharma at the crease with 15 and 13 runs respectively. By the end of the second day, India had accumulated a lead of 171 runs.

Earlier in the day, Jaiswal achieved a double century, scoring 209 runs from 290 balls with 19 fours and 7 sixes. He became the third youngest Indian to score a double ton in Test cricket. James Anderson managed to dismiss Jaiswal, and India completed their first innings with a total of 396 runs.
