IIT Madras has inaugurated a new center aimed at offering comprehensive career guidance services by integrating internship, placement and student career development activities. The Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell), a student-led initiative at IIT Madras, has also become part of this integrated framework.
The establishment of the Career Pathway Centre signifies the institute’s commitment to creating a cohesive platform that supports students in various career paths. According to a statement from IIT Madras, this initiative represents a crucial move toward equipping students with the necessary opportunities, tools, and skills to thrive in the constantly evolving professional landscape.
The primary goal of the Career Pathway Centre is to empower students to autonomously navigate and make informed decisions about their career trajectories. The center has been strategically designed to offer students essential skills, knowledge, and exposure to entrepreneurial environments, all housed in a single facility. The Internship and Placement office plays a key role in assisting students in building connections with companies to explore potential career opportunities.
