Jharkhand: In a significant turn of events in Jharkhand, Hemant Soren has submitted his resignation from the position of Chief Minister amidst intense scrutiny by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigators in connection with a money laundering inquiry. This development unfolded subsequent to a meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday, where Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MLAs convened.
During the assembly, a consensus was reached, determining Champai Soren, the current Transport Minister of Jharkhand, as the designated successor to the chief ministerial role.Banna Gupta, the Health Minister of Jharkhand, has said that Champai Soren has been chosen as the leader of the Legislative Party.
