France has expressed “serious concern” about Israeli operations inside Gaza’s Al-Shifa hospital, emphasizing that the Palestinian population should not bear the consequences of Hamas’s actions.
The French foreign ministry highlighted the importance of Israel complying with international humanitarian law, particularly regarding the protection of hospital infrastructure.
The statement came after Israeli soldiers conducted operations in Al-Shifa, Gaza’s main hospital, raising fears for the safety of patients and civilians.
France underscored the need to safeguard vulnerable individuals, including those injured or sick, and humanitarian workers operating in perilous conditions.
