Ben Duckett’s outstanding innings of 133 not out from 118 deliveries propelled England to a commanding total of 207 for the loss of 2 wickets on the second day of the third test in Rajkot.
Duckett’s remarkable knock featured 21 boundaries and 2 towering sixes, showcasing his exceptional form. Despite the efforts of five Indian bowlers who collectively delivered 35 overs, only Mohammed Siraj and Ravichandran Ashwin managed to secure wickets on the day.
England, however, finds itself still trailing by 238 runs, with the experienced Joe Root anchoring the innings with 9 runs to his name. All eyes are now on Duckett, as spectators eagerly anticipate whether he can surpass the double century milestone.
Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Zak Crawley for 15 runs, while Mohammed Siraj claimed the wicket of Ollie Pope when he was on 39.
In the preceding innings, India posted a formidable total of 445 runs. Despite his previous century, Ravindra Jadeja could only contribute two runs before falling victim to Joe Root’s bowling when the latter was at 112.
