The rapid advancement of wearable technology sees active participation from key players such as Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi and Huawei, all vying for the top position. However, in 2023, a new entrant from India has emerged as a significant contender in the global wearable device competition.
Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker analysis indicates that boAt has secured the second position among the leading wearable device manufacturers in terms of volume, marking a noteworthy shift in the industry landscape. The report highlights a 2.6 per cent year-over-year growth in global wearable device shipments during Q3 2023, reaching an unprecedented 148.4 million units.
While Apple claimed a 29.9 per cent market share with 29.9 million units shipped in the third quarter of 2023, Imagine Marketing, the parent company of boAt, seized the second spot, commanding a 9.6 per cent market share through 14.3 million shipments.
